Naturally Dyeing Wool
Naturally Dyeing Wool - Colorfast & Lightfast Dye Methods
There are SOOO many natural dye blogs, websites, pinterest posts with all kinds of ways to “naturally dye” wool or fabric… but Beware! Most of the dyes that come from fruits, veggies, and a lot of flowers (but not all) will Not last. They can fade within hours, days, weeks or years, or just after the first wash. I few of the ones I tried when first learning to dye were avocado, turmeric, and black beans, the colors were fun and it was a good learning experience… but the colors didn’t last long.
However there are ways to make natural dyes that are color & lightfast (meaning they will last a long time) and vibrant! I’ve been researching and below are links to some of the resources that I want to continue to learn from!
