Can you see the sheep? They seem to be able to see the lights in the sky too! Very interesting to see a faint amount of color... take a picture and see 10x the color in the photos!

Soil experiment!! I get to help prepare and present a booth about Gardening at a preparedness fair in 2 weeks... I'm a little late starting these, but I'm excited to see what happens anyways! My 9 yr old came and "played" in the compost for a bit and said "I love living here, we get to do fun things and I Love Gardening!" Music to my ears... though she might not be singing those praises when we are weeding said garden, 😄! Spoiler alert: You can garden no matter where you live! As long as you prepare Good Soil for your plants! I made these calf hoodies around 3-5 yrs ago to help keep calfs ears from getting frostbite and keep the new babies warm. I needed a wool tumbler to get hay bits and second cuts out of the wool before it gets washed. This is the awesome wool tumbler that my son and dad made up from an old cement mixer. It's a bit noisy but works well! The 2nd photo is what was under it after a few mins.

Work in progress... we have been planning to put cabinets and counter tops into this room for 3 years... and it's finally happening! This will be our crafting and fiber arts room soon! PS big thank you to my boys, husband and brother in law for getting cabinets in and hung!

I am excited to get started! I Love learning and doing new things! I love sheep, cattle, and crafting! But I want to Keep it REAL! Things I'm going to be sharing come from past YEARS of ranching, shepherding, playing with wool, learning some natural wool dyeing techniques (some work some don't!) and currently taking classes to learn more, cooking, gardening, graphic designing, etc... I am NOT doing ALL of these things right now... I love learning and doing lots of things, but never do them all together, my life isn't perfect, my dishes and laundry aren't all done, my house isn't super clean (but the kids and husband are awesome to help there). Everyone presents the best things online, the things we feel we can share and help teach others... but real life is MESSY and BUSY and CRAZY! And full of wonderful good things, hard things, and everything in-between things! So if, even once, you feel to compare your life to mine, just message me for a list of the things I HAVEN'T done or feel like I'm failing at, lol and realize that right now, I'm trying to take the time to start putting my collections of all the things I've learned over the past 20+ years of my adult life and things that I am learning now, and finally (hopefully) getting around to getting them online. I love animals and crafting, and now with a kiddo at college I need to get our favorite recipes online too. So if you want to come along on the journey (past and present) I'd love to have you... but first PROMISE me and yourself... My daughter and I went to a friend's last night and got to play with an electric carder! It was fun and relaxing! And we came home with some beautiful batts of all Natural Hand-dyed Rambouillet roving! Pretty sure an electric carder is in our future!

Washing Wool, mardanting it, and making up my dye pots, yellow = onion skin and marigolds, red = madder root, & blues from an indigo vat... kids are joking that I'm playing like a mad scientist! 😆
